Is that Jimmy Butler or Michael Jordan?! RELAX, fam, I’m kidding!! Although, who knows? There could be some sort of physical resemblance, as I know some of you out there still question whether or not Jimmy Butler is Michael Jordan’s long-lost son. Here’s a tip; don’t bet on it. Jimmy Butler, aka Himmy Butler, also just made it clear to not bet against him either in the Playoffs.

The question for you is, what have you bet on so far? A future on the Bucks to win The Finals at +250? Did you sprinkle some cheddar on the Heat at +450 in Game 5? You didn’t bet on the Hawks to still be hanging around, did you? No worries, State Farm Arena didn’t either, as they “accidentally” double-booked Janet Jackson on the same night as the Hawks now intend to play Game 6. Did you bet on Lebron and the Lakers to win this series against the Grizz? The Kings to overcome the defending champs? Should you bet the Suns to win it all now? Chris Paul did get a win under Scott Foster’s belt, just saying. Have your bets just all been randomly selected? Or is there some sort of strategy behind the madness? Don’t be that guy, we can help with that too. Let’s break it all down.

BEST BETS LEFT IN ROUND 1

Without wasting any more time, which teams in round 1 can you still find value in, and who do you think will take their team to round 2? I’ll give you my best bets, and we can compare after.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Los Angeles Lakers, LAL Lead Series 3-2

  • It appears that when Dillon Brooks attempts to poke the bear, LeBron James’ name should be changed to LeRecordBreaker the game after, as he finished with 22 points and 20 rebounds and is the oldest person in NBA history to do so. Caesars has the series heavily favoring the Lakers to make it out of the first round at -420 odds and have the Lakers to close it out in LA in Game 6 with a 4.5-point spread favoring the purple and gold. Crypto is going to be electric on Friday night. A-list celebrities, sold out arena, LeBron James. But not so fast. Let’s not forget the Grizzlies have been one of the best teams all year on both ends of the court. The Grizz finished the regular season as a top-three defensive rating team in the league, led by this year’s DPOY Jaren Jackson. Not to mention, JJ is averaging almost 20 points per game in this series on offense. Ja Morant is one of the most dynamic offensive forces this league has ever seen and is putting up 27.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 47.4% on 3-pointers in this series. Desmond Bane went for 36 points in Game 4 and is averaging 21.5 points per game with 40.8% shooting from 3-point distance. The Grizzlies are also taking care of the ball with a 13.0% turnover rate against the Lakers.

MY PICK 💲💸 Grizzlies +4.5 (-117 per Caesars Sportsbook)

  • Game 6 will come down to the wire. Give me the Grizzlies to cover the 4.5 (-117 per Caesars Sportsbook)

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings, GSW Lead Series 3-2

  • After opening the series with a 2-0 lead, it's been all downhill for the Kings. They've been playing some sloppy basketball during their three-game skid, allowing 121.0 PPG while only shooting 30.2% from three-point range and turning the ball over 14.7 times per contest. Underwhelming play like that makes it tough to keep pace with the defending champs. Plus, the Warriors went 33-8 when playing at home in the regular season and won both of their home games during this season. And they’re playing back at home in Game 6. See where I’m going here?

MY PICK 💲💸 Klay Thompson - Threes Made: Over 4.5 (-107 per Caesars Sportsbook)

  • Caesars Sportsbook has the Warriors as heavy favorites in Game 6 with a -324 moneyline odds and laying them as a 7-point favorite (-117). So, I’m looking at player props now. Klay Thompson has been money from the three-point range over the last month or so. The guy is averaging 4.8 threes on 43.2% shooting over his last 14 games and has finished with five-plus threes in 11 of his previous 14 games - including three times this series.

Obviously, there’s a bit of a skew between each of these teams, with heavy odds favoring one team or the other regarding who is predicted to win the series, and of course, you won’t win any money from that if you go with the favorites. But what about betting on player props, live odds during the games, over/unders, and how to stay in the know of what the best picks are?

I’ll let you in on a little secret on what the difference is between what sharp bettors are placing their bets on versus what the bad bettors are laying their action on. It’s called Juice Reel, where you can sync any betting account from any operator and all of your bets automatically load into the app for analysis/tracking of your betting performance. It shows things like your profit/loss over any period of time, your best and worst bets, how you’ve done on each sport, and the super cool thing about it is that you can search for any prop bet and see all the lines from each book to get the best odds. For example, I’m going to bet on Jayson Tatum to score more than 30.5 points on Friday night, and have better odds of placing my bet with BetMGM with odds of -105 rather than placing my bet with FanDuel, who has those odds right now at -108. You can also see what the top users on the app are betting on by using their in-app currency called Milliliters of juice, and if people want to see your best bet, you’ll be rewarded with more “juice” to use elsewhere. It’s a really cool app, and have a ton more features in there to check out. If you bet, you should be using Juice Reel 🤝
