The opening week of the football season can be a tire fire, and last weekend was no different.
We had heavy NFL favorites in the 49ers (-6.5), Bengals (-7), and Denver (-6.5) drop their openers, to the dismay of the betting public.
The lesson, as always: the opening week is a tricky situation. We have players in new places playing extended minutes for the first time in nine months, so things will happen. Let's put Week 1 in a bow and ship it out.

Armed with the knowledge of Week 1, let's jump right into two games and one prop I like going into the second week of the NFL season:
Shuffler's Stats
π¬ Dolphins vs. Ravens
The run game for these two teams last week was sad, but at least the Ravens had an excuse with the absence of lead running back JK Dobbins. Chase Edmonds had 25 rushing yards, while Raheem Mostert and Kenyan Drake combined for 47. Despite the big victory against the Patriots, the Dolphins' offensive rankings were not good, as they head into this weekend 22nd in total yards and 28th in rushing yards, while the Ravens ranked 25th in yards per game and 30th in rushing yards. This has all the makings of a low scoring game, as both teams feature solid defenses. The Line: Dolphins v Ravens Under 44.5 (-107)

π¦ Seahawks vs. 49ers
I realize, that if the Broncos don't fumble twice on the 1-yard line, this conversation is a lot different. The Seahawks and 49ers gave up about the same rushing yards last week, but Seattle got carved by Russell Wilson and their new offense through the air, giving up the third-most passing yards last week. For the Niners, George Kittle is still unknown and I still need to see Trey Lance before I believe in him covering nine points. The total is set at 41.5 - that is a large spread on such a low total. The Line: Seahawks +9 (-107)
π Antonio Gibson TD
This one is simple - the Lions gave up 216 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in a high-scoring loss to the Eagles. Meanwhile, Washington and Carson Wentz went pass-happy in a close victory over Jacksonville. I think the Commanders will have a run-happy script on Sunday, and although Gibson will split carries with J.D. McKissic and Curtis Samuel, I think they trust Gibson to score at the goal line. The Prop: Gibson TD scorer (-120); +650 to score first
Bet MGM is offering the easiest bet in the world - win $200 on a $10 bet, if either team scores a touchdown in this weekend's NFL or NCAA contests. It seems almost guaranteed to win, that is, unless you're a fan of this team. The verdict? Texas is back.
The second week of college football had a ton of action and games finishing closer than the experts thought. Will this weekend be any different? Let's go into a few teams Playmaker's Nateboogie likes with his Boogie Stock Indexβ’οΈ:
π Texas Longhorns
The Longhorns were impressive in a game they honestly should have won against top-ranked Alabama in Austin. If it weren't for Heisman hopeful Quinn Ewers' injury, things would be a lot different. This week, QB Hudson Card will get his first start, and he was fine against the Crimson Tide, going 14-for-22 with 158 yards. More importantly, they go up against a UTSA squad that gave up 304 passing yards to Army. That's right. ARMY. The line: (-12.5, -112) seems small for a game that could go left quickly.
π Minnesota Golden Gophers
Minnesota has been impressive on the offensive end, especially with a lethal 1-2 rushing attack in Mo Ibrahim and Trey Potts. I detailed why they could be a dark horse candidate to win the Big 10, but they need to stay focused because they have a juicy matchup against a Colorado team giving up 355 yards PER GAME on the ground. That's last in the FBS. The line: (-28, -110).
UFC 279 was one of the best mixed martial arts events of the year, despite a close call. The main event between Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson absolutely delivered on all levels. We also saw the dominance of Khamzat Chimaev on full display as he finished Kevin Holland in round 1. There was tons of excitement throughout the entire event.
Up for this weekend, we are back at the UFC Apex for a bantamweight showdown between #4 Cory Sandhagen and #10 Yadong Song which should be a fun one. The rest of the card has a ton of potential and one you will not want to miss out. With that said, letβs take a look at this weekβs UFC betting preview for Props HQ presented by Playmaker Betting.
The best rivalry in the NFL, no doubt.
One QB sees ghosts, the other... just can't see. Miami is
